The technique for establishing 3D FE simulation of HHS fitting and walking was discussed. Kinematics, kinetics, muscle activities and plantar pressure measurements of subject during HHS walking are being conducted to help establish and validate the computational simulation during HHS walking. Parametrical analyses on HHS will also be conducted to evaluate a variety of design factors including material, shape, sizing, shank and arch profiles, paddings, wedges, and heel heights. Results from these studies are expected to help design comfortable, properly fitted yet esthetic high heeled shoes. Conclusions
